Thanks to our Sponsors!

Their generous sponsorship of GYOP allows us to send 6,000 free kits to schools

Our heartfelt thanks go out to our long-time supporters, McCain Foods, who were joined by the retail giants Tesco, as well as the esteemed potato suppliers Branston, E Park, Puffin Produce, and Potato House, in their generous sponsorship of GYOP in 2023.

We would also like to express our deep appreciation to The British Potato Trade Association (BPTA), who once again demonstrated their unwavering support in 2023. Furthermore, Cygnet PB and IPM not only joined our esteemed sponsors in 2023 but also played a pivotal role by supplying the seed potatoes for schools to nurture and grow.

Together, through their collective commitment and generosity, this funding made it possible for us to distribute more than 6,000 free potato growing kits to primary schools nationwide.

We extend our sincere gratitude to each and every one of our sponsors for their invaluable contribution in making 2023 a year of growth and opportunity for young learners.

Casablanca was named after the musical and film as many Cygnet PB varieties are, such as our most recent success Kingsman. There’s around 200 hectares of Casablanca grown in GB, mostly in the early areas such as Ayrshire in Scotland and Comber in Ireland. In these areas there is a preference for the fluffier types of early potato which Casablanca produces.Β
